What Does The Dashboard Settings Do?

The dashboard settings in NVME Trend Meter allows users to gain additional information that can be used to read the current trend's statistics. The customisation side of the dashboard allows users to switch between the two different representations of data and it also allows users to reposition those elements easily. Furthermore, users can show or hide a watermark and they can customise the text-size of these elements on display.

Dashboard Settings

Show Dashboard is the first input field within the group and it will determine if the dashboard can print or not.

If enabled the dashboard will be printed within the indicator and it will be displayed on the right hand side.

Show Dashboard Enabled

If disabled the dashboard will not print within the indicator and it won't be shown.

Dashboard Style is the second input field within the dashboard settings group and it allows users to change up the way the data is represented on the chart. There are 2 options, which is Panel and Label.

Panel is the first style and it will put data into a neat table with custom colours for clarity.

Label is the second style and it will put data into a string and we added custom colours to the text for clarity.

Panel Positioning is the third input field in the group that comes in the form of a drop-down menu. This dropdown menu houses all of the supported areas where the panel dashboard can be placed.

You can place the panel in the following positions: Top Left, Top Middle, Top Right, Middle Left, Central, Middle Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Middle, Bottom Right.

Dashboard X Position is the fourth input field in the group that determines the positioning for the label style dashboard, so this won't affect the panel style dashboard. It comes in the form of a integer based.

Increasing this value will cause the dashboard to move further away from the trend meter plots.

Decreasing this value will bring the dashboard closer towards the trend meter plots.

Text Size is the fifth input field in the group that will determine the dashboard's and watermark's text size. Users are able to select from Tiny, Small and Normal. We added this feature so that the dashboard can be smaller on smaller devices or changed for visual space. It will impact the overall size of the dashboards too.

Recommended Text Size

Laptop / Desktop Users - Use Normal or Small

Mobile / Tablet Users - Use Small or Tiny

Data Lookback Period is the sixth input field in the group that will determine the dashboard's data results. This will calculate each topic displayed on the dashboard using X amount of bars for relevant information.

Increasing this value will provide a better trend insight however we recommend keeping this lower than 50 bars and greater than 15 bars for optimal results.

Decreasing this value may provide a poor trend insight if your current X value is already lower than 15.

Show Watermark is the seventh input field in the group and if enabled it will print a small colour cycling watermark on the left hand side of the indicator.
